The Role
As a Tax Manager, you will take ownership of tax engagements while serving as a trusted advisor to clients. This role combines technical tax leadership with people management and business development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Review complex individual, partnership, S‑corporation, and other income tax returns
- Supervise, train, and mentor tax staff on both technical and professional development
- Perform tax research and prepare memoranda and recommendations
- Develop a strong understanding of clients' businesses and identify planning opportunities
- Serve as the primary client contact, gathering information, resolving issues, and recommending solutions
- Manage multiple engagements and deadlines simultaneously
- Participate in networking and business development efforts
- Support firm growth through referrals and client expansion
- Primarily local travel within the Phoenix metro area
What Our Client Is Looking For
- 5–8+ years of public accounting tax experience
- Active CPA license required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Prior management experience within a public accounting firm
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Professional, dependable, and client‑focused mindset
